Why Tracking Changes Everything

Most women know they should track expenses. But most tracking tools feel cold, judgmental, or disconnected from reality. We built something different.

  • Discover patterns you can't see without data
  • Identify spending you do for others vs. yourself
  • Find tax deductions hiding in plain sight
  • Build a weekly habit that creates year-round clarity
  • Feel calm instead of anxious about money

Expense Categories That Get You

Standard categories miss the story. Our emotionally intelligent categories reflect the real reasons women spend.

🎁

Emotional Buffer

Gifts to avoid awkwardness, snacks for kids' friends, last-minute school needs, "keeping the peace" purchases, social obligation spending.

Common: $50-200/month

🛡

Safety Spending

Uber instead of walking at night, parking garage vs. street, phone/data upgrades for emergency access, home security, location sharing subscriptions.

Common: $30-150/month

💖

Caregiving Costs

Kids' activities and gear, elder support payments, family transfers, medical co-pays for dependents, school supplies, daycare extras.

Common: $200-800/month

💄

Appearance Economy

Hair maintenance for professional settings, skincare routines, work wardrobe updates, nails before client meetings, "looking the part" costs.

Common: $80-300/month

🛠

Quiet Hustle

Supplies for side work, software subscriptions, mileage for gig driving, tools and materials, website hosting, business cards, craft supplies.

Often deductible!

🌙

Stress Spending

Late-night online shopping, takeout after burnout days, "I needed relief" purchases, impulse buys during anxiety, comfort spending cycles.

How Tracking Works

1

Amount, category, and who it was for. 5 seconds. "I don't know" is a valid category.

2

Tag & Categorize

Business toggle, emotional category, receipt upload. All optional. Do what feels right.

3

See Patterns

Weekly and monthly views show you where money flows, who it serves, and what patterns emerge.

4

Export & Grow

Clean exports for tax time, CPA packs, and deduction summaries. Data becomes power.

Tracking FAQ

How long does it take to add an expense?
About 5 seconds for a basic entry — just amount and category. You can add more details like "who was this for?" and receipts, but they're all optional. The goal is to make it so fast you'll actually do it.
What if I don't know the category?
That's completely fine. We have an "I Don't Know" option. You can always recategorize later during your weekly review. The important thing is logging the expense, not getting the category perfect.
Can I use this for business expenses?
Yes. Every expense has a "business-related?" toggle. This makes it easy to separate personal and business spending for tax time. You can export just your business expenses for your CPA.
Do I need to upload receipts?
Receipts are always optional. However, if you're claiming business deductions, having receipts is important for documentation. Our receipt vault makes it easy to snap and store them.
What makes this different from other expense trackers?
Three things: (1) Emotional intelligence categories that reflect real life — not just "food" and "transport." (2) The "who was this for?" feature that reveals invisible labor. (3) A tone that's calm and forgiving instead of judgmental and guilt-driven.
